CNB’s Connection to CBAI

CNB Bank and Trust, N.A. is a part of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois (CBAI). CBAI helps community banks stay up to date on the constant changes in banking and professionally lobbies for the Illinois community banker. In today’s blog post we will be covering some information about CBAI to help you learn more about CBAI.

Background on CBAI

 The Community Bankers Association of Illinois was developed in 1974. Today, CBAI represents 400 Illinois financial institutions and 150 associate members. CBAI creates money-saving opportunities for its members and also provides excellent educational seminars and schools to its members. All the institutions that are part of CBAI believe “that community banks must survive due to their role as primary lenders to consumers and the small businesses that create more new jobs than any other sector of our economy.”

What does CBAI Offer Consumers?

CBAI offers debit/ATM network services to all its member institutions. CNB is happy to have SHAZAM as our debit/ATM network service. SHAZAM is a single-source provider of debit card, fraud prevention, security, and marketing.

If you enjoy CNB’s promotional products or always look forward to getting a CNB pen when you visit one of our locations; you can thank CBAI for providing us with Regency 360. Regency 360 provides us with all of our office supplies, promotional products, and apparel.

Every year, CBAI also offers many scholarships to local high school seniors around Illinois. Be sure to be on the lookout for upcoming scholarship opportunities for your son or daughter from CBAI.

CNB’s Personal Connection

Shawn Davis, President & CEO of CNB Bank & Trust, N.A. was recently elected as the first vice-chairman of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois. Davis also serves on the CBAI Board of Directors and the Strategic Planning Committee.
